Shouldering the Burden

Zahir, a hardworking teenage student, found himself facing an overwhelming situation. He had been sharing a home with his brother, who recently got married and moved out. Suddenly, Zahir was left shouldering the burden of paying rent, bills, daily living expenses, transportation costs, and groceries all on his own.

Struggling to keep up with these financial responsibilities, Zahir found himself falling behind on rent, with two months' worth of arrears piling up. The threat of homelessness loomed closer with each passing day. Feeling desperate, he decided to reach out to NZF for assistance.

Upon receiving Zahir's application, we found he was eligible for Zakat. We provided the necessary financial assistance to pay off all his outstanding debts, and we connected Zahir with a financial counsellor, who helped him to manage his finances.
